President’s Diary – Graces poetry festival in Colombo

President Maithripala Sirisena graced a poetry festival held at the auditorium of the Public Library in Colombo today, Monday, November 14.

An exhibition featuring the works and photographs of 250 past poets – and close to 1000 living poets was held parallel to this event.

president-1Supreme Court Justice Eva Wanasundara was sworn in as the Acting Chief Justice before President Maithripala Sirisena today .

Meanwhile, four newly-appointed ambassadors and high commissioners of foreign nations, presented their credentials to President Maithripala Sirisena.

The Ambassadors of Ukraine, Bhutan, Ethiopia and Tajikistan and the High Commissioners of South Africa and Seychelles presented their credentials today.
