President Maithripala Sirisena paid his finals respects to the Most Ven. Theripehe Somananda Thera on Sunday. The head of state paid his final respects to the late Most Venerable Theripehe Somananda Thero of the Udarata Amarapura Maha Nikaya at the Sri Sudharmarama Temple in Thalawathugoda.
President Sirisena also held discussions with the funeral committee regarding the observing of final rites.
The final rites of the Most Venerable Theripehe Somananda Thero will be conducted at the Parliament Grounds on Monday, November 21.
