A number of protests were held across the country.
Peradeniya University students protest
A group of students of the Peradeniya University engaged in a protest, blocking one lane of the Galaha Junction. They protested against the use of tear gas on members of the Inter University Students Federation yesterday.
Ruhuna University students protest
Students of the Ruhuna University also engaged in a protest blocking the Tangalle road, against the tear gas attack on university students.
The students engaged in the protest for over an hour, before dispersing.
Ceylon Electricity Board protest
The Trade Union Collective of the Ceylon Electricity Board engaged in a protest on Wednesday, November 30 as well, opposite the Superintendent’s Office of the Central Province.
The protest was carried out citing a number of reasons including salary discrepancies.
