Mawbima and Ceylon Today, two leading newspapers in the country celebrated their fifth anniversary today, November 18.
In line with the celebrations, a blood donation programme was held at the National Blood Centre in Narahenpita, following religious observances.
The programme was organised by the Mawbima and Ceylon Today newspapers in association with the National Blood Transfusion Service
This blood donation campaign is themed You Have My Blood Type.
The event saw the participation of the Minister of Health Dr. Rajitha Senaratne and the Chairman of the Ceylon Newspapers Pvt Limited Tiran Alles and Dr. Harsha Alles.
The campaign will be held at the National Blood Centre in Narahenpita, the National Hospital, the Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital and 96 other hospitals across the country till November 25.
