Former Deputy Minister Vinayagmurthi Muralitharan alias Karuna Amman who was arrested after he was summoned before the Police FCID this morning (November 29th) has been remanded till the 7th of December.
The order was issued after he was produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya.
Karuna Amman was summoned to the FCID regarding a vehicle he used during his tenure as a Deputy Minister.
Police added that Karuna Amman has not handed over the said vehicle to the state.
