A decision was taken on Friday to transfer former parliamentarian Duminda Silva, who was sentenced to death after being found guilty for the murder of Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra, to the Sri Jayawardenapura hospital for a neurological disorder.
Responding to an inquiry made by News 1st, Prisons Spokesperson Thushara Upuldeniya said that even though Duminda Silva was taken to the Sri Jayawardenapura hospital last evening, he was brought back to the Prisons Hospital, as the doctor was not in at the time.
