Farmers in Dambulla are facing issues due to the lack of a reasonable price for big onions. This is a common sight at houses of big farmers in the Dambulla Sigiriya, Galewela and Naula areas in the Matale District. Please see video.
Despite having a good harvest this time around, the lack of a proper price has resulted in them being forced to simply spend their days picking out the rotten big onions and throwing them away.
