Sri Lanka’s ace shutter Niluka Karunaratne, won his 15th National Men’s Singles Badminton Championships on Sunday October 30.
The 64th National Badminton Championships worked off at the Sri Lanka Army Indoor Stadium in Boyagane, Kurunegala. It was a battle of the brothers in the Men’s Singles Final where Niluka Karunaratne saw off his sibling Chamika.
Niluka was unable to claim victory in the Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles this year.
Buvaneka Gunathilake and Sachin Dias emerged victorious in the Men’s Doubles while Buvaneka and Kavindi Sirimanne claimed victory in the Mixed Doubles.
Thilini Hendahewa won her 4th Women’s Singles title at the championships.
