Sri Lanka’s Y.D.I Kumara won Sri Lanka’s first gold medal in weight lifting at the Junior Commonwealth Games taking place in Malaysia.
He competed in the 56kg class group.
He lifted 104kgs under the snatch method and 131kgs under the clean and jerk method.
