Authorities take Colombo home-owners to court over spread of Dengue

Legal action has been filed against owners of 34 plots of land that have been identified as potential Dengue breeding grounds in the city of Colombo.

Colombo Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ruwan Wijeyamuni said that red notices were issued to the owners of 623 residences following the operations that were conducted.

He added that there is an increase in the spread of Dengue with the onset of heavy downpours.
